About Sullivan County Volunteer Firefighters Association
Organized in 1926 the Sullivan County Volunteer Firefighters Association (SCVFA) has served as a communication and interactive organization dedicated tothe enhancement of the volunteer fire service throughout Sullivan County. The following is our mission statement:
The objects of the organization shall be the advancement, instruction and
protection of the interests of the firefighters, fire companies, fire departments, and the fire service in general, throughout the County of Sullivan; the promotion and strengthening of the bonds of unity, which shall properly exist between companies, departments, and exempt associations now existing or to be formed within said County; the encouragement of social, instructional and firematic activities among the various fire companies, departments, and the rendering of assistance and encouragement to those activities that will enhance the efficiency and the welfare of firefighters throughout Sullivan County.
